Be warned! This is a bit of a long post.
Me and blues discussed KZ's schedule briefly in the news thread about them stopping new OPM episodes, but I wanted to give this topic a separate space.
First I'm going to quote something which I think are really relevant in this case.
"If viewers are unaware of a show, the early ratings will be weak and the series likeIy will Ianguish quickly"
How many KZ shows have debuted in the last year alone and have been taken off? "Seven and Me" only released a new season a few months ago, and is no longer on air. The same for "Leo & Tig", "Fantasy Patrol", "Lanfeust Quest", "Power Players", "Denver the Last Dinosaur", "Blinky Bill", "Sherazade" and "The Enchanted village of Pinocchio". Lets include OPM as well.
Out of all the new shows or seasons released in 2022, only FOUR are still airing currently: Ladybug S4, Arthur and the Minimoys, Max Steel S2 and Robin Hood S3.
The lack of patience shown by KZ to these shows is crazy. For some of them, it hasn't even been 3 months since the premiere! Not to mention, they are not dubbing Winx Club S3 because they had "poor" showings of the first 2 seasons on their Youtube channel. Oh Bhai! Again, it hasn't even been a few months.
If they advertised on their tv channel that you can watch Winx on youtube, they would probably get more views. Also, things are slow to pick up on youtube anyway. Winx Club is their only show on youtube which doesn't also air on their channel, and you can see that it's doing a lot weaker than the others. Logically, you should realise the reason why, and the bar for success from youtube only shows should be adjusted accordingly.
What does all of this show? KZ has zero patience for its shows. If they immediately get a high TRP, then they fill the schedule with it. If not, they dump it all on youtube very quickly, and don't even give it a proper showing. I honestly think OPM probably didn't have a good rating because it's 2 timeslots per week were so bad.
Also, just by adding those 9 shows that they dubbed this year into the rotation, we can already come up with a much improved schedule, as we now have 17 shows instead of 8.
I'm going to use the "dayparting" and blocks method of scheduling here. The second one, everyone knows, the first is basically when you split the day into different sections, as you want to fit the show to the available audience. Lets say in the early morning, the youngest children are awake, and then before school, older pre-teens and teens are watching. In the middle of the day, you again have younger kids who don't attend classes. During lunch time is another time when older kids are at home, and then after 5/6 pm. After about 8 or 9 pm older teens and young adults will be awake. So, you "part the day" into these separate sections to make sure you appeal to the proper audience that's at home.
Here's a schedule from CN Pakistan roughly around the same time as now. Even without the blocks clearly marked, apart from Tiny TV, you can still totally understand where Toonami would be, and where POGO begins. Also, even if I count the Tom and Jerry and Looney tunes shows together, CN still has 29 different shows! 21 more than KZ currently shows!

If I was to follow this style and use it for Kids Zone, and restricting myself to only the shows they released in 2022, the first thing I would do is sort them into 3 categories:
Pre-School | Age 5-9 | Age 10+ |
Blinky Bill | Sherazade | One Punch Man |
Denver the Last Dinosaur | Peter Pan | Miraculous Ladybug |
Leo & Tig | Seven & Me | Lanfeust Quest |
Pinocchio | Fantasy Patrol | Max Steel |
Jungle Book | Power Players | Zak Storm |
Robin Hood | Arthur and the Minimoys |
Then I would clearly make up 3 blocks with different brandings. so I at least now what shows to put in those 3 different time blocks, and I can play around with the rest of the schedule.
I think it's clear that 6am-9am should be Age 5-9 group shows, as well as 2pm-5pm. These two different slots could use the same block branding so that viewers are clear what it's aimed for. Just by looking at all of the shows in that category, almost all of them are fairytale types, so let's call it "Story Zone" or "Kahani Zone" (this isn't a great name but I am also only thinking of this stuff in 10 minutes ahah).
These blocks would just be repeats of each other, as both are 3 hours long. This means shows that are in the bottom half get more exposure after school, and shows in the top half get more exposure before school. Hopefully this way, nobody will miss anything. Example:
Time | Show |
06:00/14:00 | Robin Hood |
06:30/14:30 | Peter Pan |
07:00/15:00 | Power Players |
07:30/15:30 | Sherazade |
08:00/16:00 | Fantasy Patrol |
08:30/16:30 | Seven & Me |
Now, between 9 am and 2 pm, there are 5 hours which are just dedicated to the pre-school children. It might seem unfair to only give them one block, but it's a very long one! Let's leave Pinocchio and Jungle Book to the end of the blook, as they match the "Kahani Zone" theme too, and they aren't super childish. We can call this block "Fun Zone".
Time | Show |
09:00 | Blinky Bill |
09:30 | Blinky Bill |
10:00 | Denver the Last Dinosaur |
10:30 | Denver the Last Dinosaur |
11:00 | Leo & Tig |
11:30 | Leo & Tig |
12:00 | Pinocchio |
12:30 | Pinocchio |
13:00 | Jungle Book |
13:30 | Jungle Book |
Now we can come to the main event, the 5pm-8pm block. This time period has always been the one everyone remembers fondly, and there's a good reason. Even on this schedule I found, which is not even from the best point of CN's time, you have Ben 10, Adventure time, MAD, and Tom and Jerry is always fun too, although I admit that I wouldn't put it there. Even in 2008, which is what I remember the most, that time slot was filled by anime or action shows. Anyway, let's call this block "Action Zone". It fits really well, as all of these shows are very action heavy.
Time | Show |
17:00 | Miraculous Ladybug (S4 on Sunday) |
17:30 | Zak Storm |
18:00 | Arthur and the Minimoys |
18:30 | Max Steel |
19:00 | Lanfeust Quest |
19:30 | One Punch Man (new episode on Sunday, repeats otherwise) |
Now let's put the whole thing together and fill in the missing pieces. If I used some of KZ's older shows like Bakugan, Mecard, The Lost Prince, I could have a better overnight schedule. Instead, because I put this limit on myself, I'll use lots of repeats.

Please bear in mind that this is something that I didn't even put a lot of effort into, I haven't even made a specific Friday and Sunday schedule, and I limited myself to only programmes that KZ acquired in 2022. And this schedule is STILL a lot better than their current effort.
I'd like to see anyone else's thoughts or how you would change it, and definitely feel free to use any of their shows, the channel is so new they almost certainly still have rights to air practically everything except Winx.
